Tilted Poetry

it is invisible to all, yet it burns with brightness
I can feel the claws as the sharpness of it rips from the inside
the depths of it ….so deep, so real
yet I wonder, will it break me
the blackened hardness that I have harbored for so long
the bottom of a pit is where I buried it
but now it is awakened, now it is full
it hurts to suppress but it hurts to release
haunted nightmares replaced with vivid dreams
dreams of a future
but the beast drags it back
back into the pit
the blackened hardness wants to stay hid
it is scared of the light, scared of the future
the claws tear through my heart as they slide down the walls
back into the pit
but I want it to climb, want it to shine
I need it to make it, need it to see
that there is a another one like it
another one within
we both have it in us, and I never thought I would feel
that there is not only love within me, but my love is in you
